Pearle’s Perspective #01: Introducing
Dear Friends
This newsletter was intended to be a “Happy New Year” post to welcome in all that comes with turning the calendar page and beginning a new year: setting personal and professional goals, evaluating our next steps, and starting a new chapter in our lives.
But the Santa Ana’s rolled in, and so far 2025 has been devastating. Sending out a bright and shiny message about plans, goals and change didn’t feel appropriate. Doing much besides hunkering down with friends and family just seemed wrong. Life in Los Angeles will never be the same and we are all in mourning.
So much is just…GONE. Many landscapes and communities are changed forever, yet the spirit of unity and pride of our city has remained the same. I love every inch of this glorious city. This tragedy has shown the world that we are an unflappable bunch. Down but not out. The country has been in a windstorm of hate and distrust, but Angelenos have come together with love, generosity, and compassion that overrides the ugliness of the world right now. The fires prove that our city is indeed filled with “angels.” We stand together and are united in the desire to help others and ourselves to heal. Our city will be different but I trust my fellow angels will make this city even better than it was before.
When setting goals for Pearle & Pierce in the new year, I looked back on my business and the success I have been so blessed with…Now my interior design business, online shop and this monthly newsletter will live under the Pearle & Pierce umbrella.

When setting goals for Pearle & Pierce in the new year, I looked back on my business and the success I have been so blessed with. I realize that I want to continue my design work but to also professionally grow and add other areas to my business. Now my interior design business, online shop and this monthly newsletter will live under the Pearle & Pierce umbrella.
Back to back projects with Pearle & Pierce Home for years on end have always taken priority over launching a comprehensive website, which has always been on my to do list and is now finally happening. I’ve always wanted my website and social channels to show more than my design portfolio of the 70+ homes I've had a hand in decorating. Those photos only show the end product and are staged, styled and edited. There’s so much more that goes into my work than those images reveal.
I am always on the prowl for something for my clients past and present: a unique piece of furniture, a vintage mirror, a selection of pottery. I love the hunt. Finding items that reflect my clients’ personalities and tell a story. To layer their home with special things no one else will have. I do a lot of that sourcing at flea markets, antique stores, and estate sales. More times than not I am with my two sisters, so together we decided to launch Pearle & Co., our online destination for home goods, rugs and vintage jewelry.
When thinking about what motivates me creatively, I thought about my blog that I wrote years ago. I loved how much positive, creative energy I got from writing about topics that inspired me and sharing them. I have been wanting to share more of myself and what goes into my work. In thinking about how best to do that, I decided to polish my website and launch Pearle’s Perspective, a monthly newsletter where I will share my latest musings and inspirations.
My hope is that by writing about things I discover, observe, create and love, I might inspire you. I do hope you follow along and watch this unfold in the coming months.
It is intentional that I launched this newsletter on Valentine’s Day because of the love I have for Los Angeles, my friends, family, and clients. My heart is full and I am so grateful.
